Waterbank Maximus, colt born at 3am on Friday 22nd May 2026.  Out of 155cm KNN graded Purebred Knabstrupper of Classic Type, Waterbank Sirani (LP/LP PATN/n EE WFFS & PSSM1 negative), by 165cm KNN graded & Performance tested Knabstrupper Horse, Tresaison Ricochet who gained Best Performance Test and Best in Show at the 2013 UK KNN gradings as a 4 year old and went on to have many wins British Showjumping up to 1.35m before being retired sound to stud.

Tresaison Ricochet is by Rubin Star N who competed at Grand Prix level dressage and was champion stallion at his performance test, he has also achieved ELITE stallion status with SHBGB due to his progeny’s continued success at International level.

Waterbank Sirani is by the Purebred Knabstrupper of Classic Type, Tornado af Knabstrup who was graded and performance tested, becoming the UK KNN Performance Champion in 2011 and being the sire of the leading Eventing Sports Pony in the British Breeding Futurities in 2014 & 2015 and being ranked in the top 10 stallions for Eventing and No. 1 Sports Pony Stallion for Eventing in the British Breeding Fututity All Time Sire rankings until it was discontinued in 2018. Her Dam Vile Aetsted herself was also a graded Knabstrupper Horse and was Champion mare at the UK KNN Gradings in 2005, she also competed at the FEI World Para Dressage Championships.

Waterbank Maximus carries all 4 of the Knabstrupper historic bloodlines, Mi, Ma, SK & ZS and would make a super addition to anyone’s breeding program and excel in any equestrian sport, equally he would make an amateur dream and best friend!

 

Waterbank Maximus is full sibling to the 2024 colt Waterbank Augustus who gained an Elite for Showjumping at the British Breeding Futurity and being the 3rd highest score for Showjumping throughout the whole Futurity in 2024!  Waterbank Augustus was sold to Five Filly Farm in America where they intend to stand him as a stallion when he comes of age.

 

At just 8 days old Waterbank Maximus is showing just how intelligent and easy he is, he is already leading well on a halter and picking all 4 feet up when asked.

 

He will be available at weaning in early December and will be very well handled with his feet regularly trimmed, he will be regularly wormed, fully vaccinated, passported and DNA tested.

DEFRA currently only allow the KNN to inspect/grade Purebred Knabstruppers of Classic Type and Knabstruppers of Classic Type in the UK, the Knabstrupper Horse (previously known as the Knabstrupper Sport) is currently not eligible for inspection/grading in the UK at this time.

As Max's dam, Waterbank Sirani is graded with KNN as a Purebred Knabstrupper of Classic Type and his sire, Tresaison Ricochet is graded with KNN as a Knabstrupper Horse (previously Knabstrupper Sport), this allows Max to be put forward for grading with the KNN in the UK as a Knabstrupper of Classic Type.  He would also be eligible to be put forward for grading with KNN as a Knabstrupper Horse (previously Knabstrupper Sport) outside of the UK.
